I love the village laine; they have high quality yarn and lovely staff who are super knowledgeable. The classes they offered helped me get out of my blanket slump. I took the thrummed mittens and sock classes and both were definitely worth it. They also have a great selection of coffee

Village Laine Yarn Cafe
I love almost any wool store but this one surprised me by surpassing all the rest! The staff are AMAZING, the wool is beautiful, the tools are expertly picked, and I just love the bright and cozy atmosphere of the store. Even if you don't knit or crochet, the coffee and ambience alone are enough to justify a visit.

I dropped in today for the first time after learning of this new shop and OH MY ... dream come true to have such a lovely wool shop, Canadian focus, in the Ajax area! Wonderful idea to be able to drop in, snack, chat, and meet up with fellow knitters. The wool selection is amazing and I'm sure I'll be a regular purchaser here! Beautiful!

Great shop, even better people. Their selection of local wool, locally-dyed wool, locally-created accessories and the incredible selection of items from around the world really does remind me of how connected our fiber art community is.Knit nights are welcoming and fun. The sunlight that pours through the large windows and spills on to the couches is excellent for helping me see the finer details of colour options.I think I’m at the shop a few days a week either to grab a delicious coffee, to get inspo for a new project, or just to sit and knit.

This was my second visit to Village Laine Yarn Cafe. Great coffee, delicious Toblerone shortbread cookies, and a friendly atmosphere to sit and knit or crochet.I bought some beautiful wool from England to knit my very first shawl. Heather was very helpful and made me feel comfortable and confident that I can make this shawl.

Second visit to this shop and such a nice and positive experience! The kind lady working was very helpful and was helping someone else with their knitting project as well. A great shop with some nice treats. Worth a stop in!

Fantastic yarn shop! LOVE the vibe here, very casual and yet very knowledgeable. I went to the Tuesday morning knitting group this morning, and one of the owners sat down with us to chat and knit, and served customers as they came in. It was great to meet other knitters and to be in such a welcoming environment.The yarn selection is fantastic too! Love the mostly Canadian collections of soft and squishy yarn-- looking forward to spending more time in here :)Oh the latte and the muffin were yummy too.
